On the following days, a Nagra staff member will be on site to welcome you:

Guided tours of drill site for groups

At the information centre of the Bachs drill site, we offer guided tours for groups of up to 20 people. Larger groups are welcome but will have to be split up.

Protecting you and our employees is very important to us.

From 13th September 2021, registered groups to the Bachs drill site are required to provide a certificate (from 16 years of age). This means that you need a valid Swiss or EU/EFTA Covid certificate (vaccinated, recovered, tested) and an official identity card.

Guided tours of the Grimsel Test Site for groups

A first-rate experience! Join us on an underground tour and take a look at the experiments being conducted deep inside the rock of the Grimsel mountain area (Canton Bern). Register here for a guided tour of groups of 10 to 25 people. Groups of over 25 people are split up and guided through the rock laboratory at staggered intervals.

From 13th September 2021, visitors to the Grimsel Test Side are required to provide a certificate (from 16 years of age). This means that you need a valid Swiss or EU/EFTA Covid certificate (vaccinated, recovered, tested) and an official identity card.


Hand hygiene stations are set up at the entrance. Masks will be provided free of charge. We kindly ask you to wear the protective masks for the entire duration of the tour or your stay in the Visitor Centre.

Guided tours of the Mont Terri Rock Laboratory for groups

In total, 22 partners from nine nations conduct research in the Mont Terri Rock Laboratory, 300 metres below ground. Mont Terri is where the international research community congregates. Register here for a guided tour of groups of 10 people or more.
